CRUX -I'LL DIE WITH MY BOOTS ON 12'
True to my word i have posted a record that is (allegedly) bubbling under the top ten shit records, and i have to say, he may have a point, but then again, he may not.
here are his words, he asked that his name be kept off his review ("...too well known."). the record in question is a song called 'I'LL DIE WITH MY BOOTS ON' by the 1980's band 'CRUX' released on 'NO FUTURE RECORDS'. it was on a double sided 12in with the band 'THE CRASH' called 'THE KEEP ON RUNNING E.P' (i looked it up). from now on the words are not mine (till i say so)
"this song is the bloody worst oi song you could hear. after hearing it, apart from being amazed at how shit it is you are left with the only lyrics the song seems to have going round in your head like one of those annoying chart songs you hear on the radio at work, imagine the words 'i'll die with my boots on, i'll die with my boots on' going round your head all day. and the band looks like they are hiding an escaped oompha loompha from willy wonka's chocolate factory all dressed up in disguise as a member of the master race in his boots, braces and union jack t-shirt and posing with him on the cover as if he is in the band. this is the song that should be number one".
-(its me) well, there you go, a record that someone feels (and strongly by the sound of it!) should go into the list of the worst ever punk records. not having the record myself i cant comment on it's quality but i did think the "oompha loompha" comparison was a bit harsh, but then again i am only passing on another's view point, even if he was too pussy to put his own name to the slagging off he did. not bad for hurried words written between bands at a gig though, and he wrote all the words himself without asking for any spelling tips, what a man.
