ARE OUR KIDS SAFE AROUND POP STARS?

I know that the question in the headline sounds too silly to be true but think again, because there has been a long history of 'pop' artists interfering with young children ever since music became obtainable to the unwashed masses. the habits of classical composers has been written about, syphilis, and having 'younger looking mermaids' (the old term for a prostitute) brought to the composers rooms was a past time seen as normal in a discreet way in those times.
but where i choose to start as a starting point is the 1950's, or more precisely -the birth of rock'n'roll no less.
take for example 'the killer', Jerry lee Lewis, now as we all know he married his 13 year old cousin (ay Jerry, youse keep that there gene pool shallow y'hear!), and Ive heard stories told by old musicians from that time regarding their 'tasks' they set the girls to do if they wanted to meet their hero, Ive even heard from the same man the words "shoot, we didn't even know how old them girls were, they coulda' been under age for all we knew" the musician was a member of a major 50's rock'n'roll band. the age considerations mattered less the further south the bands got.
And as for the songs themselves, they were either about 'the prettiest 'girl' in town' or they were about fancying a close family member, or how the song's subject subject looked so 'nice' in her pretty pink dress and her hair in cute curls tied with pink ribbons, hardly an image of a grown up late teen/early twenties woman.
the next celebration of 'young love' was from the 'children of the flower revolution', there were many groups that sprung out of that scene which promoted child sex and incest, there was even songs written about it, take for example the lyrics of a free song called 'little schoolgirl' (i think)
it went "so c'mon little schoolgirl lets make love, love to me-ee" if a band like 'take that' sang those lyrics today they would be arrested!
the hippie scene was full of dirty old men who assumed the quote 'free love' literally, grew what hair they had and pretended to be wise old sages to the young hippie chicks just to get into there young knickers, Charles Manson being a prime example (apart from the murders of course, so i will ignore that for the sake of this article). the 'rock gods' of the time were no better, and one known to be underage groupie in particular was well known to one or two of the 'gods' and was a frequent visitor to many a hotel room (she can be seen on photos of the bands relaxing), the bands would famously get the roadies to pick girls from the audience at their masters whim, and as for the roadies, well their behaviour was even more degrading than their masters because of what they made the young girls waiting at the back stage door do to them in return for a false promise of the chance to worship at the feet of their musical gods.
the 'stars' of TV at that time were no better either, from orgies with specially selected girls ("not too old looking") to molesting kids the public had trusted them to look after. and the wondering toilet hangers and those who liked watching their kids playing in the park before pouncing on them, for some reason many were comedy actors. the TV world was a Sodom and a half and it still is.
by the 1970's the hippies had to move over to make room for the plastic silver coloured shoulder pads of the glam rock bands. and i don't have to delve very deep to find a guilty man there, "the man who put the bang in gang"no less. its so easy to be wise to the event after it happened but if you listen to the lyrics of many Gary glitters songs it gives you the creeps, it was like releasing 'mein kampf' again and again, no one took any notice until it was too late. and what about the glitter band? even after they were making records without glitter they were still releasing singles that would now have the police on your doorstep, take 'angel face' a love song about a girl with the face of an angel, now as anyone with any religious knowledge will know, angels are mostly depicted as young naked children. but even the documented stories of the glitter/band antics show a disregard for age, and in sure they were not alone, i mean take the sweet, they ended up playing the Butlins circuit and you don't get many 'older' girls there unless they are 68 years old. and in the 'fly on the wall' documentary they made on the band shortly before the singer died two of the band are seen heading into the all ages disco to"go on the pull, see if we can pull aught"! i would be very surprised if they were alone.
through the 1980's we had the kiddie situation where it belongs, in the papers so that the public could read all about their heroes sick hobbies.
but it didn't stop the wedding of the moss gathering rolling stone bill wyman 'the Hyman' to that skinny girl with the big teeth and bigger hair, even though she was (just) legal to marry, it soon turned out that he and Mandy...? had been living together as a couple for some time before the wedding and before her 16th birthday, whats worse is her mum and dad knew! (they even let bill stay the night under their roof in the girls bedroom. er, hello? dad?) selling your daughter because you know the wedding wont last and she will get a big payout is not a good enough reason to allow an old man to molest your child under your roof in the room next door with your consent as far as I'm concerned.
it was around this time that the police released a single called 'don't stand so close to me' about a school teacher who cant help himself and so has it off with a young pupil he fancies. sting was a school teacher before the police- coincidence?
there also some then there was the manager of 1970's stars the 'bay city rollers' who was caught producing porn films, some of which contained very young looking 'actors and actresses' in them, and wasn't there rumors doing the rounds about one of the band getting arrested for some kind of sexual deviancy? also the papers were slowly starting to report news that the 'much loved' Michael Jackson wasn't all that he seemed, first came the stories about how he lived his fucking weird lifestyle and belief that he was peter pan, that led to the next level where wacko bubbles Jackson was not acting properly with kids that fans would leave in his charge- the first people who said anything related to unnatural sexual behaviour towards their kids shut up as soon as jacko gave them money said to have been in the $millions, but surely if someone is so quick to shut them up don't you think they make them selves look guilty? i know i wouldn't lie down and take an allegation of that kind like a pussy and not try and clear my name. then there is chuck berry who has been caught on a number of times hiding those mini spy cameras in the female toilets of the bars he owns so he could watch as women poohed and peed (yum), it has been said that this is the tip of berrys sick sexual mountain.
but over here in the septic isle we were having our own 'pop star and kiddies' panic as the new computer savvy pop stars were stupid enough to take their computers to chain stores to get them fixed (probably caused by a bug in a porn website) and the computer engineers were getting the comps going again only to be confronted with photos of young kids being raped and so on, so down went Gary glitter, then next was producer Johnathan king (who to this day has not accepted the wrong in what he did which means hes probably still at it. 'rock god' Pete Townsend of the who was caught looking at kiddie porn on the net, in his defence he said he was researching a book, but that was years ago now and i know of no book hes written on child abuse, do you? there was also a 'pop' musician who went down for rape and a few more that got caught by taking their computers to shops.
or we have premiership football players raping women in hotels on what seems like a weekly basis (i mention footballers because they occasionally make really shit records).
we have yet to hear of the 'peccadillo's of today's pop lot, we must wait a few years yet till they have pissed off loads of people (as arrogant new stars are wont to do) who then sell their stories to the press. and so in a few years we are sure to hear stories of today's stars and their 'younger girls'.
there is a rumour going around that has been invented that says that a bunch of like minded movers in the musical world is thinking of forming a band, a sort of 'super group' except they would be more of a 'sicko group'. its been said that they have chosen the name 'the glitter gang', as a way of presenting themselves and viewpoint, and also as a new British front for a Belgian music collective's message of what they call 'child love'.
they have recruited wacko bubbles jacko on shared vocals and as dancer, chuck berry on guitar and also Pete Townsend (t.b.c), Gary glitter is on bass and also shared vocals, Johnathan king is on keyboards/drums and Jerry lee Lewis is on piano, their set list would consist of song like 'baby i love you', be my baby', my girl lollipop', my girl, leader of the gang, baby love, baby baby, i got you babe...... and so on. they are hoping to tour the British 'hospital' prisons that house all the criminally insane, serial rapists, killers, kiddie fiddlers and crooked policemen. it sounds mad but with this country not knowing its arse from its elbow at the moment anything could happen, "keep em peeled"as an upright honest man used to say before batman on saturday morning TV.
