If you have a freeview digital top box you may have noticed the adverts for a free channels season of films about ancient rome.
so far so good, its just that they have used the pistols 'pretty vacant' as backround/atmosphere music, maybe it would of worked if used as backing for battle clips or such instead of the 'dramitic' clips but, whoever chose the clips and edited them with that song has made the 'rome' film season look like one massive carry on film, like a ten part 'carry on up the tiber', it should of had sid james dirty laugh instead of johnny rottens voice over the soundtrack at the ad's end, then it would of fitted perfectly.
the music makes the whole advert a complete fuck up as far as advertising the films but it is funny- maybe if they used clips from frankie howards 'up pompei' only it might of worked better but then i would of "tittered me not"!
