whats wrong with punk. no1- the USA.

QUESTION: what is wrong with the US' punk scene? (apart of course from the kiddie bands being pushed into the thrones of rock royalty in place of those 'horrid rapping' black people).
ANSWER: its the attitudes of these 'punk' bands to their surroundings.
Lets start with the war bush and his poodle Blair got the west into, we didn't have Muslim terrorists bombing our cities until that pair of delusional 'war leaders' got us into 'gulf 2, the worlds end' (see it before it ends), and where are the WMD's?, "oh, you lied, silly me".
then there's the last American general election where thousands of black voters were left off the register, and those 'hanging chads' where dodgy ones with bush's name on were excepted and those with the democrat name on were dis-guarded therefore giving the 'free world' and beyond a view of how badly fucked up vote rigging is done.
Or, for instance New Orleans, now there was thousands of deaths, people were left hungry for days on top of their roofs that they had to chop their way out of. and the cities protective dyke's? (it was rumoured bush wanted to blame (and kill by electric chair) don McLean for encouraging people to drive their chevvies to the Levy's but was dissuaded once he had been sedated)
well, the Levy's, they were known to be not good enough for the job years ago, yet nothing was done and they were responsible for drowning 80% of the city and much of the poorest areas, leaving one of Americas most beautiful and historically invaluable cities an ugly fucked mess,
also, the Mississippi coast was ruined for miles inland by Katrina leaving tens of thousands of people homeless and in need of food and water, but they were left with no help, and president bush didn't even know the extent of the damage until 4 days after it happened (nice one presidential advisers, why have none of you fools been publicly dragged over hot coals?- the scapegoats they used were meaningless.), the survivors had to resort to diving into submerged shops for wrapped food to eat, swimming through murky water filled with, mud, pooh (of every kind), sewage, dead animals, dead people, body parts, toxic chemicals, and worse.
and in one case a man lost it and cut up and fried (with garlic and onions) his girlfriend to eat. while he was boiling her head he saw the error of his ways and shot himself before dinner time, the man was a gulf war 2 veteran (for those spooky fans out there it happened above a voo-doo shop and center)
and how did the overground US 'punk' scene react to all these events? nothing related, except MTV playing a video for an inane worded and titled song by blink 142 which is a load of 'punks' and the band joshing and having fun and larks round a swimming pool! talk about bad fucking taste! I'm not saying that all punk bands have to be crass but wheres the protest that marked punk out? i mean fuck even the Ramones did politically motivated records (remember sun city?)
And we didn't see any other of the 'mainstream' punk bands speaking out or using their status to help the poor sods in New Orleans either, they copped out and did the easy thing, just like lazy pop stars do.
the states are in a state, military body bags are piling up on the runways of military airports at a rate not seen since the Vietnam war yet the US government are making sure that the American public are constantly being reminded that they are 'winning' this war (tell that to the soldiers grieving families, I'm sure it will be a great help), the top politicians are being fingered in stock market and business cons, the US national debt is in such a bad way that the US has been refusing to repay loans they made, poverty is as bad as its always been if not worse as the rich are getting richer as the poor get poorer as the wealth gap grows. and racism is just as rife as its ever been.
and what of the illiterate president? why he has fixed Americas problems. how? well, he has gone and plopped America and the western world right in to the middle of the Muslim civil war (their own version of the reformation)thats how, except he has not sided with one group against the others, oh no, not g.bush Jr, the dumb fucker had come to fight all sides at once instead! even Hitler knew it was stupid to fight a war on two fronts (but he was mad enough to do it anyway) so what is 'Dubya' doing to help his country? he hatched the plan to surround himself with enemies and try to fight them all with a war on 14 fronts! hes madder than Hitler was and has less military logic than Adolf as well, fighting a war from the white house office and ignoring generals on the ground, for fucks sake! "another thousand body bags please".
And what happens when a big American punk band, 'green day', if not the biggest punk band in America comes out with an album with 'protest' songs saying that all isn't green and rosy in the American garden?
why, they are slagged off for it and not just by the conservative right, oh no, much of the muck slinging came from the so-called 'punk friendly' rock press and suprisingly, other punk bands. admittedly they were mainstream bands but it is a sad day when a band gets a slagging just because they are prepared to stand up and be counted, it just goes to show you how 'un-punk' the US 'punk' bands are.
thank you green day,not just for speaking out but for showing these stupid arsed bands for being the lame bandwagon jumpers that they are. i suppose the other bands are "taking the 5th" when it comes to how fucked their country is, or they are just so cut off by their 'A-list celeb' lifestyles they cant see anything except the next communist guerrilla/mafia funded coke line and MTV appearance. I'm sorry to do this but a crass lyric suits this article snugly,
"DO THEY THINK GUITARS AND MICROPHONES ARE JUST FUCKING TOYS"?
