"BURN HOLLYWANK BURN"

I know Hollywood is not the most reliable of sources when it comes to historical accuracy but the new ridley Scott/Russell crowe (c'mon you tosser I'll 'ave you!) film about robin hood takes the biscuit, they are now making a film where robin hood is the bad man and the sheriff of Nottingham is the good guy! now you don't have to be an expert on British history to know that king Richard (the lionheart) had to come over to England just to sort out his naughty brother and his gang of bad boys because of the way they were treating the people, robbing them through taxes so (purposefully) high that their lands were stolen leaving them poor and tenant farmers with one field to starve and die landless. despite king Richard not even liking it here in England he came to sort the place and his brothers set-up out, it is an historical fact.
even without robin hood in the equation it is historical fact that England was in a state of tyranny while king Richard was well away in the 'holy lands' fighting and his nasty brother was left in charge (who lied and said Richard had died in the 'holy lands' and proclaimed himself king), so why the fuck have hollywank decided to rewrite history so badly? can you imagine if the British made a film that claimed that the '9/11' bombers were all Americans? an extreme example i know but you get the point, the yanks would be hopping mad at the historical inaccuracies and badly written rewrite of history, so why won't hollywank stop fucking with Europe's/the Mediterranean's history and stop writing shit revisionist rubbish that didn't happen and stop pretending it was truth (the recent list is endless, from 'braveheart' to 'kingdom of heaven' to gladiator to 'king Arthur' to 'the passion of Christ' to '300'(a good film though!), and 'apocalypto'. Hollywood should either stop fucking with the past and leave it alone or do some bloody homework first.
if the Americans were able to leave it, then maybe their star crossed politicians wouldn't be walking out of cinemas and thinking up new foreign policies based on what films they had just seen, their world view not getting any further than their borders except through these films, the dim tossers! i have a feeling it has something to do with in-adequateness at being such a young culture with no big history of their own, and they do like to see themselves as the masters of the world, their attempts at empire building isn't hard to spot, (nor laugh at, not mentioning Cuba, Vietnam, Somalia etc).
so in summing up i either ask bolloxwood to either leave it alone or do some reading of facts prior to making 'historical films' because one day in the future someone may believe those crap films.
they may even think that the robin hood story isn't a solid historical fact with its (ahem) many written sources!
