A review, a new sex pistols single- of 'new songs'!

SEX PISTOLS= REVOLUTION IN THE CLASSROOM/ SCHOOLS ARE PRISONS. STP RECORDS. CAT 000-0. (double 'A' side).
When i was first told of this single, i was aware of the 'revolutions...' song from an LP of demo's recorded in 1976 by Dave Goodman who released it sometime ago, it was the first 'new' pistols song in 15 or more years and it appeared on an album with the lame title of 'we have come for your children' or something like that.
but on going to buy the song that has appeared on 45 for the first time (i admit it, I'm a vinyl geek), i assumed that the other side was going to be just another song that had been released a thousand times already, so imagine my surprise when i found that the other side had a song that the pistols had never released in any form before at all, anywhere, ever, and i had never heard of it!
as i said, i knew the 'revolutions...' song was recorded in 1976, but the 'schools...' song on the other side has a different sound, and after playing it in the company of a pistols fanatic (who also cuddled his 'new ' pistols single with joyous abandonment.) we agreed that it sounded like an unfinished filler song for the 'never mind the bollocks' LP, the sort of song that was never intended for playing live, made just as a time taker to fill the LP up, as is common among bands of all kinds (country AND western!- sorry i just like that joke and have been begging for a reason to use it, even though this isn't the right time i could hold my self no longer.)
if this is a spoof like the 'land of hope and glory' song released by the 'ex pistols' and sold as an old unreleased pistols song then they have done a sterling job, because they have managed to get rotten/Lydon's voice just right and the Steve Jones guitar overdub sound is done well also (his 'wall of sound' the music media called it).
BUT, there is a reason why bands don't let all of their songs get released and that is because very often the band think them shit,(an obvious example is bob Marley who contorted in his coffin when those dreadful songs were hauled out from the vaults to be released despite his label never daring when he was alive) so either that is the reason its never been heard of or its a great spoof, either way its got at least one real pistols song released on single for the first time, and a great spoof on the other side, plus its an import made in clear vinyl.
its on the STP label from Canada with a big 'jukebox' hole in the middle. (very 1970's)
i give the single 7 out of 10, and if the 'schools...' song is a spoof then i give it a 10 for effort.
