As we have mentioned before a strange bundle of pages all mis-matched and odd sized has reached us here at 'zero towers' (groan what a lame phrase, "i know!") a potentially explosive story has reached us and the conclusions contained in the green and red coloured inks in its spiralling and weaving lines are claimed to hold the key to the riddle of who really killed Nancy spungen.
this could be the music world's most explosive story since a bearded Elvis was found alive and well in 1992 working in the gardening section of a Texas walmart, and it has been said that if enough of this guff is swallowed then 18 to 24 hours later a genuine steaming conspiracy will emerge stinking of intrigue! enough intrigue in fact to throw the rock world into a tailspin not known since the dorking odeon banned dancing in the isles to bill Haley's 'rock around the clock' film in 1956, and it could mean that life may never be the same again for the ex members of the sex pistols and their original entourage the 'bromley contingent' as well as many others connected with the band.
ZERO HOUR was shown the evidence by a pistols fan who had been researching the case for more than 15 years and who had become obsessed by the chance discovery of a document "of vital importance".
the death of Nancy spungen has always been surrounded by mystery until now, now that the 'fan' has stumbled upon the truth of what really happened that night at the Chelsea hotel.
and this 'fans' obsessive quest has led him to the shocking conclusion that it was the SEX PISTOLS themselves who did the deed, not only that, the band had left a trail of blatant clues before and after the murderous act had been done.
without revealing the 'fans' identity ZERO HOUR has been allowed to print extracts of the evidence that has been gathered for submittal to the new york prosecutors office, they are...
1) all the band members have admitted to hating her at various stages, pistols guitarist Steve Jones has even gone on record as saying "i knew she was a wrong'un, even when i was giving her one in the bogs of a club once, i dint like her",
2) those with the most to gain from the whole horrid affair was the band and their record sales, and especially mclaren who made a roaring trade with his 'sid is innocent line of merchandise,
3) mclaren revelled in the motto "create hell and get away with it"-did he?
4) the band admitted to wanting to "get rid of her" many times, Lydon/rotten admitted to dangling her out of a hotel window by her ankles to "scare her", was it a case of Lydon missing his chance because of too many witnesses that could not be trusted to keep their mouths shut?
5) Lydon was in the U.S at the same time as Sid and Steve Jones was soon to follow the others, in I.T.V's 'the bill' the criminals always return to the scene of the crime, ditto the pistols?,
6) was Nancy's murder a situationist prank gone wrong committed by punks backroom movers and shakers like Jamie Reid, Bernie Rhodes and Malcolm mclaren?
7) did the song 'the great rock'n'roll swindle (rumoured to have been written by mclaren and Reid with help from the band) actually predict the upcoming events? take for example the line "I'm a jealous god and i want everything and I'll love you with a knife, I'll take you if your ready for me and I'll give you my life", was this just mclaren and the rest and their obsession with gloating?
8) or did Sid who was then preparing himself for 'punk martyrdom write that line?
9) did some of the lyrics of the cook/Jones song 'silly thing' purvey guilty feelings at sid fucking up all their well made plans and also betray their belated guilt at being involved in the death?
10) and most damningly, when the 'swindle' LP's remixed version of 'anarchy in the U.K is played backwards, during the part when Lydon/rotten sings "anarcheee" it has been said that if slowed down and with the use of mixing equipment the words "kill Nancy" can clearly be heard.
so, there you go, pretty conclusive stuff according to the nutter who breezed through the 18th floor window on his winged skate board to bring us this "damning evidence, we would of listened to more but the man who we promised would remain unknown had such bad glue smelling breath that this was all we could take, plus the documents were written in such a squiggly way with odd coloured pens that we got headaches deciphering it, so is this the truth or just the rambling's of a buggered up mind, we leave it up to you.
