The title of this LP is a bit of a exaggeration in that many of the tracks were not pure RAMONES songs but were tapes recorded at gigs with other musicians, the best example would be the great live version of THE DEAD BOYS song 'sonic reducer' that includes EDDIE VEDER from PEARL JAM on vocals and guitar solos, and on other live songs you can hear the names of the people on stage being named, they included people from MC5, THE PATTI SMITH GROUP and TELEVISION. but that doesn't stop it from being a good LP, it even has the 'happy birthday Mr burns' song that the band recorded for the Simpson's show.
some tracks will surprise fans in that they are not what you would expect to hear from THE RAMONES and there is many cover versions.
the LP is a mix of rough rehearsal/warming up studio outtakes and live recordings.
but don't let that put you off because this LP is actually quite interesting if you are a die hard RAMONES fan, and one worth getting, but if you can give or take the band then think twice, but i like it if that says anything.
(another late P.S) The album is out on sire records so should be easy to get or order from your nearest record emporium.
