PAPA ROACH? oh dear

I 'caught' a video from the band in much the same way as you would a cold, not by choice, and unwanted for its entire apperance.
The song was the usual U.S. ROCK/ METAL POP stuff that is filling MTV at the moment ("oh thank gawd, ah thought i was never goina' get fid of them there cotton pickin 'rap bands' and their guns"-MTV exec -allegedly), the band PAPA ROACH seemed to be having a bit of an identity crisis, although the guitarists were standing and moving in the classic 'cock-rock' way, slinging their 'stringed machines like they were high powered machine guns, pure rock! the singer was singing in a 'screaming style' that is common in many bands over there at the moment but below his neck things start to become confused because if you only saw this man from below the neck with the sound down you would think it was a N.W.A or RUN DMC video was on.
The PAPA ROACH singer throws his arms and hands around in a 'bad' 'homie' way with a passion, its as though he thinks he is in a RAP/HIP HOP band oblivious to the watered down grunge the rest of the band are playing, mind you the rest of the band are almost as bad, the bassist thinks he is in a pure funk version of THE RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS, throwing his head around in a 'funked up' groove, while the guitarist is happy to occupy the rock god poses. all in all a confused band i think.
