THE SUN newsrag published today has a feature in its 'something for the weekend' (how lame) section, its called...'30 YEARS OF PUNK'.
Now i thought that was last year? ("your so 'last year' grandad") or is it this year? who the fuck knows, or cares? (apart from all the rags that copy each other's articles, moving around a sentence or two).
But if you do want it then go go go.
Of this basically two page 'punk special' it starts with an old JOHN LYDON photo staring at us with the quote "I'm 50 but I'm not a prune" -yes you are. old LYDON looks the same age as CHARLIE HARPER (no offence chazza.), also featured in his own one page special article inside the 'punk' section is that monstrous 'uber-punk' ...STEVIE WONDER...eh? hold on... (don't ask me why hes there) for some reason he is placed between a page about PUNK and the SEX PISTOLS and a page devoted to THE RAMONES and NEW YORK punk.
Don't ask me why THE SUN has done the article now, (but then again, why would you ask me?) but if you want to read it and give mega git RUPERT (i bet he loves his name) MURDOCH some more money then go ahead or, do what i have done, read it and take the section out of someone Else's paper.
If you can be bothered to read the same old stories yet again for the ten thousandth time that is, and the photo's are the same ones THE SUN always uses, so there is nothing new, 'nish'.
but it would be nice to see an article about '30 years of encouraging punk bashing' and calling for all punk's and band's to be sent to borstal or prison for 'insulting the queen', now that would be worthy of interest, so how about it THE SUN?
