Picture if you will, a woman sits on her nice sofa in her bright nice family home, although there is some people calling to each other loudly accompanied by thumping footfalls and there is some household belonging's and clothing laying about, the visible 'mess' seems... 'organised'. Anyway the mum sits all curled up on the 'messy' sofa happy among the 'organised chaos' (remember them?) while she sips at a hot beverage and chats happily away on the phone.
All of a sudden the woman breaks away from the call she is on and shouts to someone called 'josh' to tell him that "ya dads foond ya scoota", she then returns to her call and carries on her conversation with... 'mike' from 'picture loans'! (duh-dar!) who has just agreed to lend the woman twenty five thousand pounds, and the best bit is that she will only have to pay back almost seventy percent on top of the twenty five big ones, and, she will be paying it back for five years (subject to all sorts of pay hikes I'm sure! (allegedly))
Without doubt this advert and its 'sister' advert "you can have an interesting conversation about football? get away" are the most annoying adverts on British TV at the moment.
i don't know why they are so irritating as they are but, they are!
I cant explain it, after all there is loads of shit rubbish adverts on, there always is, its a universal constant, so why this one? its not the accents, or the characters, or even the ad's 'set'. its the way we are supposed to pretend we are peeking in on a normal everyday event where people off-handedly phone money lenders before they have even sorted out how much they want to borrow, its such bollocks, so unbelievable -not that Ive ever recalled believing an ad, not since i believed in Santa, but these adverts have got my goat and they wont let it go, they have it bound up so tightly its putting me off my favourite programmes and forcing me to move off the sofa!
A pox on them and their kind!!
