"WAR ON THE TERRACES"

I don't know why those football hooligans all over Italy are getting so upset about a supporter from another team getting shot, after all he may have been the next victim of a rival supporters lethal violence anyway.
Anyone of those rampaging supporters might have been the one to plunge a knife into the shooting victims stomach or (ironically) shoot him next week anyway, it seems to be a bit of a double standards issue from the 'hoolies' side to me.
I wonder if the supporters are a bit miffed because there is one less rival supporter to kill now, and so the police have taken something that belongs to them? as a theory its a bit 'out there' but its as good as any!
And while we are at it, I'm sure there will be some 'nay Sayers' tut-tutting because of my use of the term 'supporter' to describe the fans, or 'hooligans'.
Well, for my part, i agree that some of them may indeed be 'hooligans', of that i have no doubt, but i defend my use of the word supporter with the simple explanation that no-one would put themselves in danger and get involved in potentially lethal violence for a team they didn't like would they? the only reason people get involved in 'hooliganism' is because they love their team, and what better way to show your love for something could there be other than slashing someones face or kicking someones head in till they are a life long cabbage? that's love, pure and simple.
Saying that, Italian football fans do seem to get a bit boisterous at times, it must be the famous 'fiery Latin personalities' on display in the stadiums, quite charming in a romantic way.
Nothing like the blood crazed lunatics that the press have been portraying them as, if they were really all just blood crazed madmen then i seriously doubt that they could ever of organised simultaneous attacks on many police stations, leaving it impossible for any 'back up' to be called out from any other station, and nor could they ever of had the trains working on time and as well as they did.
