A DECENT ANNIVERSARY.-zero tolerance, 'sick of you E.P.

ZERO TOLERANCE, SICK OF YOU E.P, (HELEN OF OI records) AND THE TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ITS RELEASE. (one of the best oi/punk singles of the last ten years, in my opinion.)
I was at home playing some singles the other day when i came to the 'sick of you' e,p by ZERO TOLERANCE, and as it is one of my favourites i put it on to play, as i was listening to the e.p i was taking a glance at the cover and i noticed that the date on the cover said 1997.
The record was ten years old already, bloody hell ,time flies, it only seems like yesterday that i first saw them play at a squat party, i was converted by the time they were half way through their set, I've been a keen fan ever of them since and although they are not the most original of sounding bands (i hope they don't take that the wrong way) they are still a great band who have songs of their own that can stand up to many by bands that are round today.
So while everyone is on the 'anniversary bandwagon' at the moment i thought i would put my pennies worth in as well and jump on for a quick ride (while there was still time, its only days to go before its 2008), except that I'm not going back in a nostalgic punk tardis to 1977, instead I'm jumping off the wagon and only going back ten years to celebrate the first in a series of great records from what i think is a great band.
So congratulations all those involved in the records making, and a happy tenth to ZERO TOLERANCE and the record. (and i honestly thought it was only about five years old!).
