THE EXPLOITED write good tune shock!

"JINGS MUN! HOO DUZ YA SPELL 'SOCIETY?"
One of my Xmas pressies this year was a new mp3 player (my last one lasted two weeks and then decided not to bother working anymore for some odd reason), so when writing myself a list of tunes to put on it, it was becoming hard thinking (i wasn't near my records at the time) of so many songs, what with the tiny machine containing 3 'folders' that hold up to 500 tunes or more depending on the tunes length, not an easy job when most of your songs don't reach the three minute mark!
But then i remembered that i had THE EXPLOITED song 'beat the bastards' on video that i taped some years ago so i put it on the list, more out of not being able to think of tunes more than anything else.
It was only once it had been put on my mp3 and was away from its video context that i really listened to the song (WATTIES 'cornrow' mohican in the video tends to make you lose concentration from the music) that i realised just what a good tune it is, a real sing along toe tapper, i even dug out some early EXPLOITED songs to compare and there was no doubt about it, this was a vast improvement on the EXPLOITED of old.
Lyrically the band haven't gone very far from the songs of old but musically the band has improved 100%, and to think i (we) used to play their first LP for something to laugh at.
A pleasant surprise.
