NEW MULLET ARMY

I got up early this morning to get on with life and found i had time for a cuppa, so i made a cup and turned on the TV.
The channel i settled on was called 'Dave' (such a lame name for a TV channel!) and the programme was 'top of the pops2', i sat and hoped there would be at least one semi decent tune on it, or a really old clip that's worth it just for the audiences clothes, but what i got was better than i had hoped!
I was watching not only a band play a good song, they also made me laugh as well, and in the morning too! I never realised just how magnificent the 'mullet hair do's' were on the drummer and bassist of NEW MODEL ARMY, they were so massive, i couldn't help laughing (oh, and the song was 'no rest').
Most people are proud to show pictures of themselves when they were 'famous', but having a mullet must turn that 'glowing' moment into a joke because of the hair.
The bassist and drummer of NMA looked like they should of really of been in MICHAEL BOLTON'S backing band.
Saying that, the hairstyle on THE SAINTS bassist (in the video clip below) is a whopper of a mullet i must admit, saying that, the first time i ever saw a mullet it was on an Aussie, and the 'mullet' is pretty popular over there, so maybe it was the Australians who gave us the mullet and not the Americans as is usually assumed, or can anyone show me an example of a Yankee mullet pre 1976? (the time THE SAINTS got noticed).
I wonder who gave us such a prized hair do, the Aussies or the Yanks?
