WALLS HAVE EARS.

I made the mistake of reading a newspaper again today after i swore i wouldn't (yesterday i promised myself i wouldn't anymore, a man of my word!) and i read the sad story about a goth couple who were attacked at a skate park, the female died and the bloke was battered and left in a coma.
The little brutes who did it were a gang of young kids who had been 'hanging about' and drinking before the attack, yet on the next page there was a story about the new daft government plans which has been started 'up north' where people who go into pubs are finger printed, watched by hidden cameras, and their voices recorded by microphones hidden in discreet places round the pub "so that drinkers who would cause trouble can be monitored". How the fuck is that going to stop violence? The fuckers who did over the goth couple hadn't been anywhere near a pub, and people like that wont bother going to pubs in the future either if they think they might be 'monitored', this new dim idea will only see an increase in street drinking and the only people who use pube will be old people, and pretty soon parks, open air car parks, estates and other open spaces will become no-go ares except for those seeking to drink and fight.
there is better ways to stop violence, for a start how about giving 'yoot' somewhere to go and something to do? in the ares where the 'yoot' have these facilities there is less trouble, and so on so why not do that instead of treating everybody as if they are going to do something wrong? or would that be too much hard work? more likely it isn't profitable enough where as the 'security' business is a nice little earner for all involved, except the ones being watched, and the ones doing the watching cant always be trusted.
And just to prove my point, in another paper i read about the CCTV operators who used the CCTV system to watch women through their windows like the poor lady who's naked body was displayed on the giant centralised monitoring screen as she went to the toilet, bathed and cuddled up to her partner. And i have to ask this, what is so sexy about a woman sitting on the bog? naked or not, there is nothing sexy about a woman having a good pooh or a wee.
Plus listening into people's conversations 'just in case they do anything wrong' is...wrong, if this idea catches on in pubs then it wont be long before it happens in restaurants, cafes, buses, workplaces, the street (oh, i forgot, people are already having their voices recorded in the street which is then matched up and stored along with images of their faces, silly me.) in other words, everywhere.
This is a slippery slope that has no end, i bet that soon you will have to give a DNA sample to use a public toilet and the police will be taking DNA samples from spit on the floor! what are these 'policy makers' putting on their cornflakes? what ever it is it cant be called 'brain food', the stupid fuckers.
Civil unrest will be on the menu in the not too distant future, you don't have to be a genius to realise that.
