TV personality cook and bottled sauce man LLOYD GROSSMAN has i suppose you know by now re-formed his old 'punk' band 'JET BRONX AND HIS 'NEW' FORBIDDEN' (who were going to be the next band to feature in the 'criminal record' chart funnily enough) and have made a subtle change to the bands name, not that many people would notice. When i heard they had reformed i didn't think LLOYD would deign to play again in his old band, not now he has his successful TV food related career, but i suppose good on him if he wants to do it, its just that does he have to? hasn't the retro old band scene fizzled out of energy now that the only bands that are playing the circuit are ones who no one would of dreamed of paying to re-form while there was decent old bands to throw money at to play again? And how many people have actually heard any of JET BRONX'S songs ? not many i would imagine, the whole thing stinks of desperation to me. I just hope they are better now than they were thirty years ago for the ticket buyers sake.
Amusingly enough the SUN tabloid described the Rebellion gig JET BRONX is playing soon at as "packed with thousands of anarchists". Yes and they are all there to see their high priest of anarchy punk LLOYD (do you think the 'GROSSMAN' bit was part of his old punk name?).
Above, Lloyd as a puuunk rockeerrrr as imagined by the hilarious tabloids (they are sooo funny).
