So the BOOMTOWN RATS have re-formed, almost. The 'new' line up contains only two of the actual BOOMTOWN RATS and there is also a bloke from THE ANIMALS (now that is old), and some other bloke.
The band did ask the sainted SIR BOB of Africa to come down from his lofty cloud to front the band once more but the great man was too busy saving the poor huddled masses of the third world to bother singing in an old pub rock band again.

One thing that is in the new RATS favour is the band set list, not for the new RATS are their old duff eighties pop songs like 'banana republic' and err..... that other one that did quite well, no for these (old) boys its nothing less than the early BOOMTOWN RATS songs, the ones that were actually not bad.
I err, cant wait.
P.S, i cant decide if the fat bloke has got a lot of hair or the hairy bloke has a lot of fat.
