I TAKE (SOME OF) IT BACK MORRISEY

I listened to Desert island discs today to hear what 'The moany one' had to say, and I had to eat a portion of my own sarcasm to be honest.
The bloke wasn't too dull or devoid of wit, and he even made me laugh (a bit) at times, like when asked the question that all guests are asked, "what books will you be taking onto your island? The Bible?", "what for?" he subtly but quickly shot back in a way that made me re-think his personality, almost. I didn't hear anything about his time in The Nosebleeds, or him liking the Cockney Rejects (looks like you'd better lower the 'new fan' based ticket prices in future eh lads?) though.

I wasn't surprised when he chose to have 'Theres gunna be a showdown' by the N.Y.Dolls played, but when the Ramones 'Loudmouth' and a tune by Iggy and the Stooges got played  I was.
I had to purge the silo at that point, so I missed some of the show but I did hear him choose the 1965 debut single by Nico as well (great voice).
So, all in all I was nearly wrong about him (I can't admit to being completly wrong because I don't think I can be), he wasn't totally moany, he had a subtle but amusing sense of humour, and he came across as not a bad person.

That isn't fair, he's supposed to be a moaning wanker, not someone who can put a smile on your face.
